Haven't posted much. I've been too busy with work, home, photos, twitter, blogging and preparing for the impending nugget.

Looks like it's going to stay that way for a while.

I has can cheezburger
So today for lunch instead of the gourmet meals we are usually fed, a bunch of us decided to take the challenge.

Cheeseburger in a Can. Flown in from Luxembourg not tested by the FDA.

It reminded me of school lunch meets Chef Boyardee (meatball "meat") all served up in a steamed Fenway frank bun in hamburger form.

Was it good? No, but it's not supposed to be good. It's nothing more than sustenance. Cheeseburger MRE's for the German hiker.

Next time Prairie Oysters.

Took the first decent length trip on the new bike. Rode to Americade in Lake George NY. Will post pics shortly. The bike did well however I don't advise anyone to sit in traffic on 100 degree days on an air cooled big V-twin.

So a new goth night is starting up in Salem. It's a no brainer that their should be one here, really, what city is more goth than Salem? Problem is the venue doesn't lend itself to a club atmosphere. I'll check it out and who knows maybe a better venue will reveal itself.

I'm not a big sports fan. I really enjoy the UFC or most MMA for that matter but I try to not get invested in the fighters. Also, I don't watch too many team sports but the past few seasons I've been watching football. On Sundays liziemonster and I hang out cook up a nice meal and watch the Patriots kick somebody's ass. This season has been phenomenal.

This morning I woke up with the biggest sports hangover one could have.

Saturday night I had a bunch of people over to watch UFC 81 because Brock Lesnar was making his debut. Liz had watched him in WWE and I saw one of his early fights , he is a monster. I really was looking forward to seeing him destroy Frank Mir. While he had an impressive showing and did pummel his opponent, he made a rookie mistake and got caught in a knee bar and submitted.

Then Sunday night the Patriots were to make history becoming the first team to go 19-0 to win the superbowl. Somehow the twirp, Eli Manning pulled it off and the Patriots were handed their first loss, it was devastating.

I have learned that the UFC is anyones game and expect the unexpected but the Patriots loosing? WTF. No more sports for me.

Gay night at Bills???
OK maybe I've just been around the Boston club scene too long. I got a myspace bulletin for "Campus" Thursday nights. Now if my memory serves me correctly (and I'm sure it does since I worked there for years), ManRay used to do "Campus" on Thursday with Chris spinning dance and alternative boy-pop.

Wow Boston is too small and has a 5 second memory.

So today it took me a while to get up the driveway to work. Why, you ask. Because the owner of the property (formerly the owner of our agency) was bringing in one of his formula one cars. I wonder how he commuted on the streets of Wenham with that thing and didn't get pulled over.

In other news, if you ever need an '80s fix, and I'm talking good '80s not crappy lameo '80s fire up your itunes go to radio, 70s/80s pop and click on Radio Nigel I am totally addicted.

2008 first update
I wanted to thank everyone who came to my place for New Years Eve, it was a blast.

I've been busting ass on the house with the help of my brother-in-law. We mudded the bedroom ceiling and it looks great now. Added some period correct door casings (had to remove some wall to make one of them fit. As an added bonus we blew in some insulation on the exterior wall. I might add a decorative niche as an accent piece. This weekend we will paint all the trim and the ceiling. Next weekend it will be time to wallpaper and following that I'll be doing the crown molding. Then the bedroom will be finished.

I've been trying to photograph the process and will put up a page on my personal site when I have a few minutes to work on it.

In other news the Salem insider blog is kicking some butt and work is still work.

Until next time...

weekend recap
This weekend was fairly low key. lizziemonster had oral surgery and spend some quality time on the couch eating popsicles. We were able to make it out for a bit each day to walk around in the frigid cold and go on the Salem Christmas House Tour, which I blogged about on the new TheSalemInsider.com blog.

If there is a house tour in your area GO! These homes were just amazing.

Then it snowed.

The End.

Jesus freaks and punks
This entire week in Salem has been nuts. I went out at around 8:30 this morning and people were already in costume walking about. I'll get dressed later and shoot some pics, then plop myself down in Rockafellas to watch the freak show.

There have been so many good photo ops that I can't possibly show them all. This one I love though it truly shows that irreverent sense of punk humor.

Salem in October
So you think Salem might be fun in October? This is a view down my street when I left my house yesterday morning.

The sea of humanity aside it was a fun day. We hung out and took some pictures while we checked out the sights. When our thirst got the best of us we popped in to Rockafellas to see some of our favorite bartendresses and grab a beverage.

Later that night lizziemonster and I met up with jedi and morbidiqua for some drinks and dinner, where we were met by Mister Reusch and his girlie.

A fun day indeed.
